The rooms are empty but I feel them there. They're everywhere, voices in the air. Nana's pouring coffee into Papa's cup. His hands are strong, her hair is long. In Damascus, Syria
There goes the neighborhood. Forget all the crazy negative stuff you hear about Syria. I've been there and the people are wonderful. Here I am in Damascus singing on the roof of a place in the old Christian Quarter. Singing "Fairouz & Kolthum" a song about the two greatest singers of the middle east. Marhaba!
